1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Vroom8 ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services.
2. Description of Service
Vroom8 provides an online peer-to-peer marketplace that connects vehicle owners ("Owners") with individuals seeking to rent vehicles ("Renters"). Vroom8 acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to any rental agreement between Owners and Renters.
- Owners are responsible for the condition, safety, and legality of their vehicles.
- Renters are responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle and returning it in the same condition.
3. Eligibility & Verification
To use the Platform, you must be at least 18 years old (or older if required by local law to rent specific vehicle types).
Renters must possess a valid driver's license and pass our identity verification process conducted by our third-party partner, Veriff. We reserve the right to decline any user who does not meet our eligibility criteria.
4. Fees and Payments
Vroom8 charges a service fee to Renters and/or commissions to Owners for the use of the Platform. All fees are disclosed prior to booking.
Security Deposits
A security deposit is held for every booking. This deposit may be used to pay for damages, lost items, or late fees. The deposit is released automatically after the rental period if no claims are filed.
Cancellations
Cancellations are governed by the specific cancellation policy selected by the Owner for their vehicle (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict). See our Cancellation Policy page for full details.
5. Prohibited Activities
Users agree NOT to:
- Use vehicles for illegal purposes or in prohibited areas.
- Sub-rent the vehicle to third parties.
- Provide false information during verification or booking.
- Engage in reckless driving or operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Harass or discriminate against other users.
6. SMS & Messaging Terms
SMS Messaging Consent
By providing your phone number and opting in to receive SMS/text messages from Vroom8, you consent to receive conversational, marketing, promotional, and customer care SMS messages from Vroom8. Reply STOP to opt-out; Reply HELP for support; Message & data rates may apply; Messaging frequency may vary. Visit our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
By opting in to receive SMS/text messages from Vroom8, you agree to the following terms:
Message Types
You may receive conversational, marketing, promotional, and customer care messages including: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, order alerts, updates on your rental status, vehicle availability notifications, special offers, and other service-related communications.
Messaging Frequency
Messaging frequency may vary based on your interaction with the platform and your booking activity. You may receive multiple messages per week during active bookings.
Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Vroom8 is not responsible for carrier charges.
Opt-Out Instructions
To opt out at any time, text STOP to the number from which you received the message. You will receive a final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request. You can also manage your notification preferences in your account settings.

Supported Carriers
Our SMS service works with all major US and international carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Limitation of Liability
Vroom8 is not responsible for any damage to vehicles, personal injury, or theft that occurs during a rental. Owners are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance coverage. Renters are liable for any damage caused to the vehicle during the rental period that exceeds normal wear and tear.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
